The international conference IBBI 2012 will bring together leading scientists working in diverse fields related to isolated biomolecules and their interactions. It is a continuation of a series of successful meetings held in Les Houches, France (2000), Wildbad Kreuth, Germany (2002), Exeter, UK (2004), Prague, Czech Republic (2006), Valladolid, Spain (2008) and Berlin, Germany (2010). The goal of the meeting is to facilitate exchange between the different communities and approaches, leading to a better understanding of biological molecules.

Topics include experiments and theory on:

  • Structures of isolated peptides
  • Fundamental aspects of intra- and intermolecular interactions
  • Spectroscopic techniques for studying isolated biomolecules
  • Biomolecular ions, mass-spectrometry and ion mobility
  • Folding, unfolding and aggregation of proteins
  • Dynamics of biomolecular systems
  • New experimental and theoretical techniques

The program will feature invited lectures, posters as well as a number of "hot topic" presentations, which will be selected from the poster abstracts of those who have registered by the early-bird deadline.

Important dates

  • June 15th, 2011: early registration and abstract submission starts
  • October 31st, 2011: early registration closes (for reduced rates)
  • November 15th, 2011: abstract submission closes
